[He's really just... trying to figure Mika out a little. But he smiles calmly, in a friendly enough way, and turns to lead Mika to the living room, adjacent to the kitchen where he starts to make some tea.]

[He brings out a tray of tea and cookies, setting it down to serve them both.]

I don't object. But I'll only tell you stuff you actually want to know. I'm here to do a job, not make friends or talk about my dreams.

[He hands over a cup of tea and sits back with his own.]

[sniffs the tea curiously, then settles a little, putting it down to snag a cookie.]

I'm not against it. I don't think we're on bad terms now? Our working relationship can be functional without bringing other stuff into it, but we also can. I just don't think my farming hobby is all that interesting.

Yeah. I like growing things. It's satisfying.

I confess I've never tried. We have a garden, if you wish to utilize it.

That's what I believe. But you seem rather uninterested in what would normally entice someone.

That's because they do nothing for me. Power and status are too complicated, so I can't use them to get what I want.

[What on earth can be gained without power and status??? aside from like, gardening.]
